Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil has declared he will have no qualms when Joachim Loew’s men take on Turkey in Friday’s Euro 2012 qualifier in Berlin.

Real Madrid have signed German World Cup star Mesut Ozil from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen for an undisclosed fee, reported to be around €15 million.

Werder turned down an offer which was described as “risible” by general manager Klaus Allofs last week but have now reached an agreement for Ozil, who would have been available on a free transfer when his contract expired in 12 months.…

Germany’s rising star Mesut Ozil, tipped by coach Joachim Loew as a future world-class player, insists that the three-time champions have a genuine chance of winning a fourth World Cup.

Barely known outside of Germany and Turkey before the tournament, 21-year-old Werder Bremen midfielder Ozil played a key role in orchestrating his side’s impressive 4-0 thrashing of Australia in Durban on Sunday.

A German-born son of a Turkish immigrant, this young midfielder has brought much-needed finesse and improvisation to the German midfield since establishing himself in the side this season. His magical left-foot can open any door, leading to the kind of invention and guile that can turn a game on its head.

The Gelsenkirchen-born star scaled the heights of the professional game with Schalke 04, tasting his first experience on an international stage in the Champions League. At that time, Ozil was still conducting the midfield in Germany’s youth teams.
