According to Bild, coach Joachim Löw is a top candidate to replace Louis van Gaal as head coach at reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
Bayern revealed on Monday that van Gaal will leave Bayern at the end of the season, despite having a contract until the summer of 2012, and Löw is considered to be the perfect replacement.
However, Löw has a contract with the German Football Association (DFB) until after Euro 2012 and the DFB refuses to let go of their head coach before the tournament.
Therefore, Bayern are looking for an interim solution until the summer of 2012. Current Bayer Leverkusen coach Jupp Heynckes is one of the main candidates to take over from Van Gaal at the end of the season.
Heycnkes will have to settle for a one-year contract though if he is to take over at Bayern, allowing the Bavarians to make a move for Löw after Euro 2012.
Should Löw move to Bayern? Who do you think is the best candidate to replace him as the national team coach after Euro 2012?
