Cacau out of England game

Cacau has suffered an abdominal muscle strain during training on Friday.

“This injury means he cannot play against England,” team manager Oliver Bierhoff told www.dfb.de. “We are working to ensure he will be fit for the next game, we are confident he will be.”

Injury doubts Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jerome Boateng are set to undergo fitness tests and Bierhoff is hopeful they will be fit to face Fabio Capello’s side.

“We will see if their injuries have recovered enough for them to take a full part in training with the rest of the team,” he said.

The Stuttgart forward’s injury means that Klose will most likely replace him in the lone striker role upfront for Germany.
